Hey there Nostalgia MB! I'm Faith, and I am probably a bit too stuck in the media from the era of my teen years, but lucky for me it's kinda getting cool again! I spend a lot of my time hopping links through the old web, the indie web, and the smaller web. I have really grown to not just enjoy the nostalgic factor of it all, where I have a second chance to really enjoy things from the past in full, but I find I really connect with a lot of the common philosophies in these online groups. In the past few years, I've been trying to get a tiny bit more tech savvy than I used to so I can make my tech and internet experience work for me, and looking at the things I loved or coveted during the past is a part of that! Also, when you're a broke adult with bills and all that, modding a 3ds you already have, getting your old Pebble watch working again, and enjoying other stuff that you already got at home has a lot more appeal than buying the latest and greatest that might not even be that great. I've got a lot of cool stuff from my childhood, especially my old video games, which I really do love playing still! I am lucky to have built a bit onto this collection over the years with a lot of garage sale and thrift store hunting when people really didn't see the value in their old games.

I like working on my Neocities website but I'm no web designer. I am much more of a lover and appreciater than I am a maker of things. Ahh thank you! It's certainly a work in progress but I love messing around with it! Also I love yours! Mo is SO cute and spunky, and I love her 80's workout look. I absolutely I have to thank you SO much, because I've been looking for any Hazbin or Hazbin Hotel related fanlistings EVERYWHERE, and your website has them! Now I'm on the hunt for a Lucifer one because he's my beautiful silly soldier. I wish I knew how to make fanlistings, because I'd make one for the whole show, the main cast (and yes absolutely that will include Adam), and my fave ships.

Okay, okay, sorry about the HH tangent I've just been so amped up since the announcement of season 2 lol. I should also thank you for helping me find the aromatic clique and the caffeine nation one! I'm joining a lot of fanlistings these days and I'm dipping my toes into the whole clique thing. So far it's fun! Though I'm probably getting carried away like usual lmfao

OH don't I know it! I've been trying to convince friends to make fansites and fanlistings but it's definitely a battle bahaha. HH is PERFECT for stuff like that but they're incredibly hard to come by (which is why I made 3... whoops.) TFL has some guidelines and tips, and it's not *quite* as tricky as it seems, esp since fanlistings just aren't as popular as they were 20 years ago. If you ever do get around to make any, keep me posted!

OMg you are the one who made them?? I've just joined the Emily one and I LOOOOVE the background for it! I found a website that can generate codes for fanlistings which I had a little fun with recently making my fanlisting wishlist lol. For whatever reason I couldn't figure out how to make the codes, mainly because I couldn't figure out what font they were using, so while I now know the font, I'll still probably use this to save time lol unless I have a specific vision.

I will absolutely let you know. From what I gather, hosting one on Neocities, at least with a free account, is hard to do because of the script involved with the form people fill out or something like that. To be honest, even how to join a webring still confuses me, and since I use iframes in my website I think that causes some sort of issue with the common webring scripts but that's just something I've seen people talk about being an annoyance. I hope I figure out these things soon, but until then I do really enjoy simple web cliques also, and since it's just about linking an image back, I'm hoping I get the gusto to make something of that sort for Hazbin in general and the later for specific characters. Has anyone made a specific Hazbin shrine, I wonder? A place like that would be a great springboard to connect stuff like this together. The way you have info about merch and other info on your fanlistings is SUCH a great idea, I wish they all were like that, so that fans could use it as a central hub to check in on what they love.

I found the code generator recently too, actually! It works pretty well, but my perfectionist self likes doing them by hand LMAO For fonts I either freehand it or use a pixel font (usually rainyhearts).

For the form... I know there's problems with the PHP scripts?? I think they're not supported much at all anymore and it's through willpower most people use them lmao but I personally use formspree! and I've seen others use google... There's a few other options floating around out there, too!

As for specific hazbin shrines... I've seen one (1) Angel Dust shrine in particular, but not much else, yet. I have some people I've convinced to try and make sites that want to make shrines for their favorites, so we'll see! Who can say.

I'm so glad I made the jump to get more into the real, PC-oriented web again after almost 10 years of falling off. The more I do, the more I realize just how much there is out there, but also just what my laptop itself can be in regards to software and capabilities. I know many times things truly are outdated, but so often I realize how many things that were left behind over time really aren't outdated at all, we just kinda hit a wall as to what to do next. I don't know if I'll really get it, but I want to improve my understanding of Python and hopefully that can be a bit of a springboard I can use to make applications and webspaces that I can make to my own taste and preferences and share with others. Although since at this point I'm still struggling to fully understand running a fanlisting, we'll just see how far that little ADHD ambition gets lmfao
