Nostalgia MB

blog era fashionistas

hey guys, I've been really falling down rabbit holes of some old and usually inactive blogs for a while now (I also keep up with some updating blogs on blogger but there are fewer for sure). does anyone else have fun browsing old blogs, especially related to fashion? I love bloggers with unique styles that are pretty DIY or thrifted. One of my recent faves is TwinkieChan who is actually also super crafty and is excellent at knitting, sewing, and making fun food based clothing items and accessories. Here's some pics:

I really admire her fun style and it's super nostalgic too. Do you guys know of any cool old school fashion bloggers? Or some contemporaries you keep up with? Generally, where do you get your fashion inspo if you're into fashion?

In hindsight it's obvious, but as someone who has never been into fashion I didn't even realize these were a thing! I knew lookbook existed, but browing it on my dial-up connection was impossible

Oh wow what a blast from the past lol! So scene, haha!

How do you usually like to find these? I find it's gotten really tough to find personal blogs these days. A bunch of them seemed to have died off in the last 10-15 years. 。゚・ (>﹏<;) ・゚。 I used to follow skincare blogs but Youtube and social media pretty much did those in. u_u

Oh my GOOODD Twinkie-chan one of my OG fashion inspos! I tried so hard to copy her swag back in the day. And ShanaLogic was always being advertised in my Shojo Beat magazines and I think even got a spot or two in the English Gothic and Lolita Bibles(I don't own all of them, but I used to  ).

I remember in that era I used to obsessively check https://www.miseducated.com/ while at school lol, and I loved the Vivcore brands along with Vivian (or is it Vivienne?) Haufpur's (sorry if I got that wrong) blog about lolita and vintage lifestyle crafts. To be honest, I feel like DIY crafting had a big connection with these fashion bloggers, but maybe it's just the one's I liked.

I know I loved a bunch more, but I can't remember them right now!
